NEWS to anyone wanting to visit the John McMurtry Esq. grave site at
Beech Presbyterian Church while in the White House area. You may contact
Jerry Stone at [email protected] Jerry lives close by and will
gladly show you the location of the grave.
The McMurtry Family Reunion this year is
Sunday, September 4th, 2016 (12:45 to 3:45 PM)and will be held at The
Christian Life Center at Beech Cumberland Presbyterian Church. The
church is located at 3216 Long Hollow Pike, Hendersonville (known by
many as Shackle Island) TN . The reunion will be a pot-luck
dinner with
plenty of getting reacquainted and fellowship time. There is a
playground area for the children as well. This church grounds includes
the Old Beech Cemetery where many of our ancestors are buried including
John McMurtry Esq. Bring your favorite dish and any family pics or
documents that you wish to share with the family there will be display
tables set up for their viewing. Just type the church address in your
G.P.S. or an online map service (Mapquest) and they will provide maps
and driving instructions from anywhere.
